By way of this petition under Section 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, the petitioner seeks grant of regular bail in connection with FIR No. 370/2017, dated 09.08.2017, registered at Police Station Welcome, Delhi, under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

After some hearing, Mr. Salim Malik, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that he does not wish to press the application, however seeks a direction for expeditious conclusion of the proceedings before the BAIL APPLN. 464/2026 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Trial Court.

Having regard to the prolonged period for which the petitioner has been in custody, the Trial Court is requested to expedite the proceedings, to the extent possible.

I am informed that out of 37 witnesses cited in the chargesheet, 28 have already been examined, and PW-29 has been partially cross examined. Mr. Malik states that one of the witnesses - Mohd. Abid, who has been summoned, has repeatedly not appeared. 5.

Mr. Hitesh Vali, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, states that the prosecution will take an appropriate decision with regard to the list of witnesses, and will cooperate in the expeditious conclusion of the trial. 6.

The bail application is disposed of with these observations. 7.

It is made clear that the Court has not made any comment on the merits of the matter.
