The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying for an anticipatory bail in connection with FIR bearing no. 200/2019, under Sections 406/392/397/120-B/411/34 of the IPC, registered with Police Station Mandawali.

The allegation against the petitioner is that he had, in conspiracy with other co-accused, made a fake Facebook ID to cheat Brahmjeet Solakni by alluring him to part with money for purchasing crypto currency. It is stated that initially transactions of smaller value were completed with Brahmjeet Solanki and thereafter, he was induced to enter into a higher value transaction.

Mr Brahmjeet Solanki had sent one of his employees (the complainant) with ₹90,00,000/- to meet Sachin Sharma for entering into a transaction. It is stated that Sachin Sharma and one other person had asked

him to join them in the car. It is stated that thereafter, Sachin Sharma had grabbed the bag containing the money and the other person had held a pistol against the complainant.

It is stated that the petitioner was named by Sachin Sharma who was one of the persons who was involved in the transactions relating to crypto currency.

It is clear from the status report that the petitioner had not directly participated in forcing Karan Singh to part with the money on gun point. 6.

Admittedly, the petitioner has joined the investigation. 7.

In view of the above, this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition. The petitioner is granted anticipatory bail on his furnishing a Personal Bond in the sum of ₹25,000/- and two sureties of an equivalent amount to the satisfaction of the Investigating Officer. 8.

The petitioner shall also continue to cooperate with the Investigating Officer (IO). The petitioner shall not leave the country. He shall provide a mobile number to the IO and ensure that he is reachable at all times. 9.
