The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that FIR No. 0145/2019, under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (IPC) registered with PS Fatehpur Beri, be quashed. 2.

The present petition is premised on a compromise arrived at between the concerned parties (petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2) before the Counselling Cell, Family Court, Saket in HMA No.1357/2018. 3.

In terms of the said settlement, respondent no.2 had accepted a sum of ₹23,50,000/- as full and final settlement of all her claims. Respondent no.2 is present in the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. She acknowledges the receipt of the aforesaid amount. The said parties had also

agreed that all matters relating to marriage, either civil or criminal, are settled and none of the parties shall make any claim against each other or their relatives.

She states that she stands by the said agreement. She also joins the petitioner in praying that the FIR in question be quashed. 4.

The petitioners are present in the Court and are identified by their counsel.

The petitioners also state that they have no grievance against respondent no.2 and pray that the FIR in question be quashed. 5.

In view of the statements made by the petitioners and respondent no.2, the present petition is allowed.

Accordingly, FIR No. 0145/2019 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC registered with PS Fatehpur Beri and all proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed. 6.

The parties shall sign this order as an acknowledgment of their statements recorded herein.
