The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that the petitioner's name be considered for transfer to a semi open jail. The petitioner has been awarded a life sentence in the case arising out of FIR No.289/2006, under Sections 302/34 of the IPC, registered with PS Sarai Rohilla.

The petitioner has already undergone actual custody of thirteen years four months and nineteen days as on 28.11.2019, and has also earned remission of three years nine months and thirteen days. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the petitioner is eligible for being considered for transfer to the semi open jail. 5.
The learned counsel appearing for the respondent states that if the petitioner is eligible as per the relevant guidelines, his case would be considered in the next meeting of the competent authority. 6.
In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in the said petition. The same is disposed of.
