This hearing has been done through hybrid mode. 2.
This is a petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter, 'the Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the ld. Arbitrator. The arbitral Tribunal was constituted vide order dated 1st December, 2020 in Arb. P. 487/2019. The Arbitral Tribunal held its first sitting on 9th February, 2021. 3.
The dispute in the present matter arises out of contract agreement dated 25th May, 2015 for the execution of construction of CC Pavement, Boundary wall, drain, gate and security room at Bodhjana Ganan Industrial growth centre (near Bamboo park area), Agartala. The claims were filed by the Petitioner on 22nd March, 2021.

Thereafter, an application was filed by the Respondent under Section 16 under the Act which appears to have consumed a substantial amount of time between 30th July, 2021 and 5th March, 2022. Thereafter, the pleadings have been completed and the matter is now at the stage of trial.
