The Petitioner's grievance concerns the non-supply of certified copies despite an application having been submitted, which is placed on record as Annexure P-4. The said application bears the rubber stamp of the office of the Deputy Commissioner (North-West) and with Diary No. 11711 dated 21st July, 2025.

Since substantial time has lapsed since filing of this application and there has been no response, the Petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the Respondents to supply the certified copies applied for.

the records sought by the Petitioner under Annexure P-4 fall within the jurisdiction of the SDM, Rohini, which is a sub-division under the Deputy Commissioner (North-West). She submits that the application referred to in Annexure P-4 may not be readily traceable in the records, resulting in the delay. Nonetheless, on instructions, she submits that if the Petitioner approaches the SDM, Rohini, the certified copies of the available records shall be supplied to him.

For the above purpose, the Petitioner is directed to appear before the SDM, Rohini on 10th February, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. for processing of his request as per Annexure P-4 accompanying the present writ petition. The present writ petition shall be treated as an application for supply of certified copies, even if the original application is not traceable in the official records. The decision, either by way of supply of certified copies or by refusal, shall be communicated to the Petitioner within four weeks from the date of his appearance.

In the event the SDM, Rohini is not available in the office on the date fixed, Ms. Avni Singh shall coordinate with the Petitioner's counsel and intimate an alternative date for the said purpose. 6.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed of along with pending application(s), if any.
