The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to Inspector General of Prisons, Mandoli, New Delhi to release the petitioner herein on furlough for a period of three weeks. 4.
It is stated that the petitioner had applied for a furlough but his application has not been considered as yet.

In view of the above, this Court considers it apposite to direct the concerned authority to consider the petitioner's application as expeditiously
as possible and preferably, within a period of one week from today. 6.
