The learned counsel for the petitioner prays for leave to withdraw the present petition.

He prays that 15 witnesses already stand examined before the learned Trial Court while two witnesses have been dropped. A total of 28 witnesses were cited by the prosecution. He prays that as the petitioner is in custody since 28.01.2020, the learned Trial Court be requested to expedite the conclusion of the trial.

I find merit in the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner.

The learned Trial Court is requested to expedite the conclusion of the trial and make endeavour to conclude the same within a period of six months of the first listing of the trial before it post this order. 5.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. 6.

Copy of this order be sent to the learned Trial Court for ensuring compliance.
