% 18.11.2019 IA 15996/2019 (for exemption) Exemption allowed subject to all just exceptions. The application stands disposed of.

O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 466/2019 This petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 29A

(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 for extension of time for the Arbitral Tribunal to complete the proceedings and render the award.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent on advance notice states, even though he has no objection for grant of time, the respondent has challenged the authority of the person who has instituted the proceedings before the learned Arbitrator.

Without adverting to the issue of competence of the person who has instituted the proceedings before the Arbitrator, in view of the fact that learned counsel for the respondent has given his consent, the time for the Arbitral Tribunal to complete the proceedings and render the award is extended by a period of six months effective from November 17, 2019.

The petition stands disposed of.
