The petitioner, an ex-serviceman, joined the respondent-State Bank of India in the year 2010. He is aggrieved by alleged erroneous fixation of fitment of his pay by the respondent-Bank, on various grounds stated in the writ petition.

It is the admitted position that his representation for this purpose has not been finally decided by the respondent-Bank. Mr. Rajiv Kapur, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-Bank, who appears on advance notice, submits that the respondent-Bank will take a decision on the petitioner's representation within a period of 8 weeks from today, and communicate the same to the petitioner.

agreeable to disposal of this writ petition in these terms. 4.

With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction that the respondent-Bank will treat the writ petition as a representation, and pass a final order with regard to revision/fixation of the petitioner's pay within a period of 8 weeks from today.

All rights and contentions of the parties are left open and, in the event, an adverse order is passed, the petitioner's remedies also remain reserved.
