The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that he be released on parole for a period of three weeks. The petitioner states that his mother is required to undergo surgery on 30.10.2019. It is also pointed out that the petitioner had filed a petition on an earlier occasion (W.P.(Crl.) 2004/2019) seeking parole, but the same was withdrawn with liberty to file afresh after the date of surgery of his mother was fixed. 4.

Although the petitioner has already availed of parole for a period of eight weeks this year, nonetheless, this Court considers it apposite to direct that the petitioner had released on parole for a period of two weeks from the

date of his release.

This is considering the mitigating circumstances and also that the petitioner has already served nineteen years, six months and five days in custody. He has also earned remission of two years and six months and fourteen days.

The petitioner has also been released on parole/furlough on earlier occasions and apart from jumping parole in the year 2010, he has not misused the liberty granted. 5.

Accordingly, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is directed to be released on parole on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent.

This is also subject to the further condition that the petitioner shall not leave the National Capital Territory of Delhi during the period of his release. He shall also provide his mobile number to the Jail Superintendent which he shall keep active throughout the period of parole. 7.
