This petition has been filed with the following prayers: "a) To direct the respondent no.1 to consider the request(s) of resignation(s) submitted by the petitioner in/on SeptemberOctober 2023, 23.04.2024, 11.05.2024, October 2024 and 14.12.2024, b) To direct the 1st Respondent to pass orders on the application for resignation submitted by the petitioner to the 5th Respondent on 23.04.2024, 11.05.2024 and 14.12.

2024 c) To direct the Respondents to consider the resignation/release/ General Request/retirement of the Petitioner, of SeptemberOctober 2023 and October 2024 , since no official documents visa-vis resignation/release/General Request/retirement of the Petitioner is available as he was advised by the Respondent(s) to file the documents afresh though he had supplied the copies of Affidavits of his parents related to his release/retirement/ resignation to the respondents as mentioned in the Annexure. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

d) To pass any such further or other Orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice."

We have been informed that the request of the petitioner for resigning from the services of the Indian Coast Guard has been rejected vide letter dated 31.12.2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that as per his instructions, the petitioner has not received the said communication. 4.

Let a copy thereof be given to the petitioner. 5.

In view of the fact that the request for resignation of the petitioner has been rejected, this petition is dismissed as withdrawn to enable the petitioner challenge the communication dated 31.12.2025 of the respondents by way of a fresh petition.

We find that the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition has been sworn before the Oath Commissioner wherein the date mentioned is 31.01.2025, which according to the learned counsel for the petitioner should be read as 31.01.2026.

As there is an apparent error, we deem it appropriate to issue notice to Mr. Sanjeev Ranjan, Advocate, Oath Commissioner for his appearance in the court, on 16.02.2026.
