Heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. Sameer Vashisht, learned Standing Counsel for Government of NCT of Delhi (GNCTD).

The Petitioner has filed the present Public Interest Litigation ("PIL") raising grievance of traffic congestion resulting in hampering of smooth movement of traffic from the road starting from Khanpur to ITO via Delhi High Court which passes through Chirag Delhi crossing / intersection / flyover.

It has been stated by the learned Counsel for the Petitioner that the said arterial road is used by many lawyers and advocates and because of the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. persistent traffic congestion, many a times, they are unable to reach the Court in time as a result of which right to access to justice to the litigant gets affected.

Mr. Sameer Vashisht, learned Counsel representing the Public Works Department ("PWD") of GNCTD submits that the traffic congestion at the particular intersection is being caused on account of ongoing construction work of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation ("DMRC"). 5.

Accordingly, we dispose of the present Petition with a direction to the concerned officers of the PWD to find out a solution of the traffic congestion at the road starting from Khanpur to ITO via Delhi High Court which passes through Chirag Delhi crossing / intersection / flyover in consultation with officials of Delhi Traffic Police and DMRC. For the said purpose, let a meeting of the officers of PWD, DMRC and Delhi Traffic Police be convened within ten days and the said Committee on deliberation shall find out a solution to the issues raised in this Petition. The decision of the said meeting shall be communicated to the Petitioner and whatever requisite action is required for removal of the traffic congestion, compliance of the same shall also be ensured by the concerned authorities in right earnest.
