This writ petition has been preferred on behalf of the Petitioner seeking the following reliefs:- "I. That a writ, direction or order in the nature of mandamus may be issued commanding the Respondents to pay the post retirement benefits including pension and commuted value of pension to the petitioner as per the Self contributory Superannuation Benefits (Pension) Scheme of 1995 to the petitioner with effect from 1.6.2006 along with interest at the rate of 12% per annum compounded annually.

II. That a writ, direction or order in the nature of mandamus may be issued commanding the Respondent to pay a suitable compensation to the petitioner for the hardships and harassment faced by him on account of non payment of post retirement benefits to him. III. That a writ, direction or order in the nature of certiorari may be issued quashing supplementary trust deed dated 9.8.2011. IV. That a writ, direction or order in the nature of certiorari may be issued quashing order of Commissioner of Income Tax dated 6.2.2013. V. That any other writ, order or direction may also be issued which this Hon'ble Court may think just and proper in the circumstances of the case. VI. That costs of the petition may be allowed in favour of the Petitioner and against the respondents."

Mr. Satish Aggarwala, learned Senior Standing Counsel appearing for Respondent No.3 has placed on record a copy of letter dated 03.07.2024, annexing along with it a speaking order dated 13.05.2024 whereby the Competent Authority has directed the Drawing and Disbursing Officer of CGST Commissionerate, Faridabad to send the pension papers as prescribed in the Pension Rules to the Pay and Accounts Office, C.R. Building, I.P. Estate, New Delhi for processing the family pension of the Petitioner within two days of the order.

In view of the said order, the grievance ventilated in the petition has been redressed. No further order is required to be passed. Needless to state that the pension disbursing authority will make every endeavour to disburse the pension as expeditiously as possible.
