Petitioners have entered into inter-caste marriage on 30.01.2026, as per Hindu rites and customs.

The abovesaid marriage does not have approval of the parents of petitioner No.1 and, therefore, the present petition has been filed with the prayer that their lives may be protected, as they apprehend some threat from respondent Nos. 3 to 5 herein, who are relatives of petitioner No.1. 3.

When asked, petitioners informed that they are presently residing within the jurisdiction of P.S. Gandhi Nagar. They have shared their present address with SI Harish Chaowdhary, who is also present from P.S. Gandhi Nagar.

Learned Standing Counsel (Criminal) for State informs that the mobile numbers of Beat Constable, SI Harish Chaowdhary and the concerned SHO have been shared with the petitioners and, in case of any difficulty, petitioners can always contact them immediately.

It has also been apprised that the concerned Beat Officer has been directed to visit the premises of the petitioners at least once a week. In view of the abovesaid arrangement, learned counsel for the petitioner, at the moment, does not press for any further relief. 7.
