The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that FIR No. 0271/2015 under Section 498A of the IPC and all proceedings emanating therefrom, be quashed.

The petitioner also impugns the proceedings initiated by respondent no. 2 under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. Mr Avi Singh, learned ASC appearing for the State states that the charges have been framed with regard to the FIR in question and the trial has already commenced.

The petitioner is, essentially, aggrieved by the delay in completion of the trial as he states that there is no material evidence against him. Since the

trial has commenced, this Court does not consider it apposite to quash the FIR in question. However, the Trial Court is requested to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible.
