The present proceedings are instituted under Section 482 Cr.P.C. on behalf of the petitioners seeking quashing of FIR No. 208/2017 registered under Sections 323/ 354D IPC at Police Station Vasant Kunj North, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.
As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, the complainant was known to the petitioner being her batch-mate in a coaching centre who inspite of the complainant's expressed disinterest continued stalking her and even tried to enter her house on 28.04.2017.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the parties are known to each other and present FIR was registered due to misunderstanding and with the intervention of the elders, close relatives and well-wishers, the parties have amicably settled their disputes vide Memorandum of Settlement dated 29.01.2024, a copy of which has been placed on record as Annexure P-7. In terms of the said settlement, respondent No. 2/complainant is now left with no claim or grievance against the petitioner. 5.
The petitioner and respondent No.2, who have joined the proceedings through V.C., are identified by their respective counsel as well as the I.O./SI Sandeep, P.S. Vasant Kunj Delhi.

The petitioner has shown remorse for his conduct and undertakes not to repeat the same in future. Respondent No. 2 also states that she has entered into the aforementioned settlement agreement out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She further states that she has no objection if the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed. 7.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.
The parties shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed, subject to payment of cost of Rs.20,000/- to be paid by the petitioner to the respondent No.2 by way of a demand draft through I.O. within two weeks from today. 10.
