This petition has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ('A&C Act') seeking extension of time for conclusion of arbitral proceedings and passing of arbitral award by the Sole Arbitrator.

Arbitration proceedings commenced on 08th December 2022 and has proceeded since then. On 07th October 2024, parties mutually agreed for a six months' extension with effect from 3rd August 2024. Same is expiring on 2nd February 2025. Hence, this petition has been filed. 3.

Respondent has no objection to further extension of time for arbitral proceedings to continue.

Petitioner's counsel submits that cross examination of witnesses is yet to conclude, and counter claim by respondent also needs to be considered.

Accordingly, extension for a period of 10 months is granted for conclusion of arbitral proceedings.
