The petitioner has approached this Court alleging that her husband who was tasked with undertaking all income tax filings has wrongfully used her PAN card and entered into various transactions, as a result of which her income has become inflated. 2.

Mr. Chandra, learned counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions apprises the Court that in all such matters, a preliminary investigation is firstly undertaken by the Director General of Income Tax (Investigation) ["DGI"]. According to learned counsel, the present case has been taken cognizance of and an inquiry shall accordingly be undertaken.
