The present application seeks a direction that the learned Adjudicating Authority be permitted to pass an appropriate order in accordance with the timelines stipulated under Section 5(1) Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.

Learned counsel for the petitioner / non-applicant submits that in terms of the liberty granted vide order dated 31.1.2025, reply shall be filed by the petitioner within a period of three days from today. He further submits that if a date of hearing is intimated by the Adjudicating Authority, no adjournment shall be sought by the petitioner. The said statement is taken on record.

Let the Adjudicating Authority grant a hearing to the petitioner before passing a final order in the matter. However, given the statutory timeline for completion of the adjudication, it is clarified that the Adjudicating Authority shall be entitled to suitably limit/ confine the hearing.
