The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, seeking parole on the ground that his father had expired on 18.09.2019 and the petitioner is required to make arrangements for rituals which are required to be conducted. The said ground does not hold good any longer, since the said rituals have already been performed.

Nonetheless, the petitioner seeks parole to visit his family members in this time of grief. 2.

The fact that the petitioner's father has expired has been verified. The nominal roll has also been filed, which indicates that the petitioner has been released on several occasions of furlough/parole. There is no allegation that he has misused the same, except on one occasion when he had surrendered one day late. It is also seen that his conduct in jail is satisfactory. 3.

In view of the mitigating circumstances, this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition. The petitioner is granted parole for a

period of one week from the date of his release, subject to the petitioner furnishing a Personal Bond in the sum of ₹10,000/- and one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent. 4.

In addition to the above, the petitioner would give his mobile number to the concerned authority, which would be reachable at all times and also surrender within the stipulated time.

The petition is allowed in the aforesaid terms. 6.

The order be communicated to the concerned jail authorities. 7.
