This application has been filed for modification of order dated 29th July, 2024, which in turn had modified order dated 05th July, 2024 granting parole to the petitioner.

By order dated 29th July, 2024, parole which was originally granted subject to furnishing personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety of the like amount, was modified to furnishing of surety of Rs. 5000/-, considering the guidelines of the Supreme Court n In Re: Policy Strategy for Grant of Bail, SMWP (Crl.) 4/2021.

This application has been filed stating that the petitioner is not in the contact with any of his family members or any friends who can furnish surety on his behalf. He has not received any visitation from his family members till date and in incarceration for 10 years. He belongs to lower strata of society and, therefore, is unable to furnish society. 4.
The petitioner is willing to deposit cash surety, which he pleads may be accepted for confirmation of this parole.

In these circumstances, and in view of the guidelines of the Supreme Court, the order dated 05th July, 2024, granted parole to the petitioner is modified for petitioner to be released on parole by furnishing a personal bond in sum of Rs. 10,000/- with cash surety of Rs. 5,000/- to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent; rest of the conditions in order dated 05th July, 2024 shall remain same.

Copy be sent to the Jail Superintendent for record and compliance. 7.
Application is accordingly disposed of.
