The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Cr.P.C. seeks the following prayers: "(a) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other writ seeking to issue appropriate directions to the Respondent No. 1 to give police protection to the petitioner and his family and to restrain the respondent no. 2 from doing any criminal activity against the petitioner and his family; and/or (b) Pass any other or further orders, as this Hon' ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest and furtherance of Justice." 2.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the present petition with liberty to initiate appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.
