By virtue of the present petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS), the petitioner seeks direction to the Competent Authority to consider the name of the petitioner for pre-mature release in Case/FIR No.359/2009 registered at PS.: Vasant Vihar under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (IPC) in the upcoming Sentence Review Board Meeting.

Learned ASC for the State appearing on advance service, without adverting to the merits involved in the present case, submits that if found eligible the name of the petitioner shall be duly considered in the upcoming Sentence Review Board Meeting (SRBM) in accordance with law, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. especially, taking into consideration the other inmates whose names are being considered in the said SRBM.

In view of the aforesaid, learned counsel for the petitioner does not wish to press for the issuance of notice in the present petition. 4.

A copy of the order be sent to the concerned Jail Superintendent for information and compliance forthwith.
