1. The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed on behalf of the petitioner seeking the following reliefs:- "a. Issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other Writ, Order or appropriate directions directing the Respondents to correct the date of birth of the Petitioner from 16.08.2008 to 16.09.2008 in the Class X Marks Statement Certificate of the Petitioner bearing Enrolment number 14277967 and issue a fresh Marks Statement cum Certificate after making the aforesaid correction.

b. Pass any other order(s) as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present case."

2. Learned counsel for Respondent No. 1/CBSE submits that CBSE had already sent an email dated 06.02.2025 to the Principal, Indian School, Al-Ghubha, P.O. Box No. 1887, Sultanate of Oman, informing that the request for correction in the Date of Birth of Manraaj Luthra, Roll No. 14277967/2024/XII, has been approved by the Competent Authority of the Board. The school has also been instructed to deposit the correction fee of ₹1,000/- plus postal charges (and an additional ₹250/- for the Migration Certificate, if applicable), along with the original documents of the candidate, at the M&M Branch, C Wing.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, at this stage, submits that in view of the above submissions made by learned counsel for Respondent No. 1/CBSE, the petitioner does not wish to pursue the present petition. However, it is prayed that a direction be issued to the respondents to complete the procedure within a time-bound manner.

4. In view of the above, the respondents are directed to complete the procedure as expeditiously as possible, preferably within ten weeks. The petitioner is also directed to complete the necessary formalities at his end.
