O R D E R

The present proceedings are instituted seeking quashing of FIR No. 328/2015, registered under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC at Police Station Inderpuri, Delhi on the ground of compromise having been arrived at between the parties.

Ms.Neelam Sharma, learned APP for the State submits that the charge sheet in the present case has been filed under the aforesaid sections against the petitioners and respondent No. 2 is the only complainant/victim. 3.

Learned counsels for the parties submits that the parties have amicably settled their dispute before the Supreme Court Mediation Centre

on 05.09.2019 vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 5th September, 2019, copy of which is placed on record as Annexure P-3. In terms of the said settlement, respondent No.2 is now left with no claim or grievance against the petitioners.

The petitioners and respondent no.2, who are present in person, have been identified by their respective counsels as well as the Investigating Officer.

Respondent no. 2, present in person, states that she has entered the settlement with the petitioners of her own free will, volition and without any undue force pressure or coercion. She further states that she has no objection in case the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed. 6.

The parties are bound by the statements made in Court today. 7.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

In view of the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in continuation of the present criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of. 10.

Copy of the order be given dasti to the learned counsels for the parties.
