The instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 („Cr.P.C.‟) has been filed on behalf of petitioner seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondent to release the petitioner on furlough on the occasion of his birthday i.e. on 20.02.2024. 2.

Issue notice. Mr. Sanjeev Bhandari, learned ASC accepts notice on behalf of State.

The present writ petition will be treated as a representation on behalf of the petitioner herein. The concerned authority will look into the same and the intimation will be given to the petitioner herein about the outcome of the same, within two weeks from today.
