concerned from Police Station Tughlak Raod, Delhi. 6.
Briefly stated, the present FIR came to be registered on the complaint of respondent No. 2, wherein he stated that he is employed as a night guard. He alleged that an altercation took place at Khan Chacha Restaurant, Khan Market, New Delhi, during which the petitioner purportedly caused injuries to him with a sharp object. It is stated that during pendency of the trial, the parties have amicably settled their disputes vide Memorandum of Understanding dated 27.02.2025.
7.
On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2, who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that he has entered into compromise out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, he has no objection, if the present FIR is quashed. 8.
In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 9.
Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 60/2016, registered at Police Station Tughlak Road, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Section 324 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to the petitioner depositing cost of Rs.10,000/- with the Delhi High Court Advocates Welfare Trust, Current A/C No.
