The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the police authorities at Chittorgarh to provide security to petitioner nos.1 and 2 as and when they appear for their exam in Chittorgarh.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners state that the petitioners are currently residing in Delhi and are apprehensive about their safety at the hands of petitioner no.1's family. He states that both the petitioners are majors and have married against the wishes of their family members. He states that since both the petitioners are from different castes, their marriage has not been accepted by petitioner no.1's family.

He further states that insofar as the prayer for seeking security from police authorities at Rajasthan is concerned, the petitioners shall take appropriate remedies in this regard. He, however, requests that insofar as the protection in Delhi is concerned, the same be directed to be extended to the petitioners.

In view of the averments made in the present petition and the statements made before this Court, this Court directs the petitioners to appear before the SHO concerned (SHO, PS Dabri) on 09.11.2019 at 10:30 AM. Respondent no.1 (SHO, PS Dabri) is directed to evaluate the threat perception and provide the petitioners such security as he considers necessary.

The SHO shall also provide contact numbers of the beat staff to the petitioners in order to enable them to contact the police authorities in case of any eventuality.

It is also directed that if a complaint is filed by the petitioners, the same would be processed in accordance with law. 7.

It is clarified that nothing stated in this order should be construed as an expression of opinion by this Court regarding the legitimacy of the marriage of petitioner nos.1 and 2.

No further orders are required to be passed in this petition. The same is disposed of.
