% 09.01.2017 Petitioner no.1 is mother-in-law; whereas petitioner no.2 is brother-inlaw (jeth) and petitioner nos. 3 and 4 are sisters-in-law (nanad) of respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 is complainant. Husband of respondent no.2 has already died. On the complaint of respondent no.2, present FIR 650/15 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC has been registered against the petitioners at police station Farsh Bazar, It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably, inasmuch as, settled amount has been paid to the respondent no.2. Copy of Settlement Agreement dated 20th September, 2016 executed between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has been placed
on record as Annexure P-3. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by her counsel. Respondent no.2 admits having settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue pressure, force or coercion. She also admits that she has received the entire settled amount. She further submits that she has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.
Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 and that respondent no.2 has already received the entire settled amount, inasmuch as, and she has no objection in quashing of the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 650/15 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Farsh Bazar, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed.
Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
