The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that FIR No. 599/2017 under Section 380 of the IPC registered with P.S. Rajouri Garden and all proceedings emanating therefrom, be quashed. 2.

The present petition is premised on a settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 (Sh Nagarsen Baba Temple through its authorized representative - Sh. Sarman Kumar), at whose instance the FIR in question had been registered.

The allegation against the petitioner was that he had stolen approximately an amount of ₹1 lakh from the Nagarsen Baba Temple. The petitioner does not accept the said allegation; nonetheless, he has agreed to pay a sum of ₹21,000/- in full and final settlement of all claims made by respondent no.2.

The petitioner is present in Court and is identified by his counsel.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and identified by the Investigating Officer.

Both parties (the petitioner and respondent no.2) jointly pray that the FIR in question be quashed. They state that they have no further grievances or claims against each other. In view of the above statements, this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition. 6.

Accordingly, FIR No. 599/2017 under Section 380 of the IPC registered with P.S. Rajouri Garden and all proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.
