By way of the present petition, petitioners seek quashing of FIR bearing No. 519/2023, registered at Police Station Laxmi Nagar, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 341/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC').

Issue notice. The learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State. 3.

The petitioners and respondent no. 2 are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned from Police Station Laxmi Nagar, Delhi. Brief facts of the present case are that the petitioners are the owners of property bearing No. FF-38/428 (Plot No. 38, Block FF), situated at Laxmi Nagar, Delhi, admeasuring approximately 200 square yards, along with the entire superstructure comprising two floors, including roof rights and rights of construction up to the last storey. The said property was validly sold and transferred in favour of the petitioners by Smt. Gurpreet Kaur Hanspal through a duly executed Sale Deed dated 14.09.2023, registered on 15.09.2023 as Registration No. 6776, Book I, Volume No. 2937, Pages 179189, before the Sub-Registrar VIIIA, Preet Vihar, Delhi. It is alleged that prior thereto, Smt. Gurpreet Kaur Hanspal had acquired sole and absolute ownership of the aforementioned property by virtue of a registered Gift Deed dated 08.08.

2022, executed by her father-in-law, Shri Jagjit Singh Hanspal, and registered as Registration No. 5215, Book I, Volume No. 2506, Pages 90-97, with the Sub-Registrar VIIIA, Preet Vihar, Delhi. Subsequently, disputes pertaining to the said property arose between the parties, resulting in the present FIR, including civil suits and other criminal cases.

It is stated that during the pendency of the proceedings, the parties have now amicably settled their disputes vide Settlement Deed dated 05.05.2025.

On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been identified by the IO concerned, has categorically stated that she has entered into compromise out of her own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, she has no objection if the FIR is quashed. 7.

purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 8.

Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 519/2023, registered at Police Station Laxmi Nagar, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 341/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

In view of above, the present petition stands disposed of. 10.
