By way of the present petition filed under Section 29(A)(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of the mandate of Arbitral Tribunal for period of six months, with effect from 31.01.2025, for concluding the Arbitral proceedings and passing of the Award.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has expired on 31.01.2025. It is further submitted that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal has previously been extended by this Court on multiple occasions, lastly vide order dated 30.07.2024. Issue notice.

Learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice and submits that the respondent has no objection to the prayer made in the petition. 5.

At this stage, learned counsels for the parties submit that the matter is at the stage final arguments.

Considering the aforesaid request and the no objection given by the other side, the present petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended for a period of 6 months, with effect from 31.01.2025, i.e., till 31.07.2025. It is further observed that proceedings conducted after the expiry of the mandate, if any, shall also stand validated and regularised. 7.
