By way of the present petition filed under Section 29A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal for another period of six months, with effect from 09.02.2025, for concluding the Arbitral proceedings and passing of the Award.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal will expire on 09.02.2025. He further submits that the mandate has been previously extended twice by the learned Arbitral Tribunal vide its orders dated 21.05.2024 and 14.10.2024. Learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice and submits that the respondent has no objection to the prayer made in the petition. 5.

At this stage, learned counsels for the parties submit that the matter is at the stage of final arguments.

Considering the aforesaid request and the no objection given by the other side, the present petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is further extended for a period of 6 months with effect from 09.02.2025.
