This petition has been filed with the following prayers:- "a) To issue writ of mandamus directing the Respondents for bringing on record the relevant documents pertaining to the Petitioner;

(b) To issue writ of certiorari setting aside the Impugned Order dated 24.11.2025 issued by the Respondents; (c) To issue writ of mandamus directing the Respondents to consider extending the petitioner's posting to current location for a period of one year;

(d) To issue writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the discharge application of the petitioner at the earliest; and"

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has argued that the petitioner should be allowed to continue at Bhubaneswar as his wife is employed with the Department of Posts in Bhubaneswar itself and the couple has a small child to take care. We have been informed by Mr. Siddhartha Sinha, learned counsel for the respondents that the said application is under active consideration of the respondents and decision thereof shall be taken within three weeks from today. He also states, till such time, the discharge application is decided, the respondents shall not insist upon the petitioner joining the place of posting. 4.
