O R D E R
% 18.02.2025 Pursuant to last order dated 14.02.2025, the petitioner has brought on record the medical documents from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi, ('RML Hospital') to show that he is under treatment there. The investigating officer has verified the documents.

Response dated 17.02.2025 of the attending doctor has been handedup in court under cover of Index dated 18.02.2025 today. The doctor confirms that the petitioner is under treatment at the RML Hospital in Rheumatology OPD; that he suffers from polyarticular gout; and that he is required for review again after 02 weeks, with certain investigations. The doctor further records that the treatment and The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
follow-up is being done on an out-patient basis; no admission to the hospital has been advised; and the treatment and follow-up may continue with no bearing on the status of incarceration of the patient. The doctor specifically says that the petitioner's treatment may continue inside jail.

Response dated 17.02.2025 under cover of Index dated 18.02.2025 is taken on record.

The record shows that the petitioner was granted furlough for 04 weeks vide order dated 13.01.2025 and he was released from prison on 16.01.2025.

The petitioner's Nominal Roll dated 07.02.2025 shows that he has suffered actual custody of more than 15 years towards his life sentence for conviction under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860; and counting remission the period of custody would come to about 19 years.

The nominal roll also shows that the petitioner's jail conduct has been 'unsatisfactory', since he jumped parole on two earlier occasions. It is however noticed that even after the dates on which the petitioner is stated to have jumped parole, he was released on furlough and parole on various occasions.

In the circumstances, the present petition is disposed-of, extending the petitioner's furlough by 01 week from today, with a direction that the petitioner shall surrender back to custody on or before 25.02.2025. 8.
The petitioner has also challenged the rejection of his pre-mature release application, which petition bearing W.P.(CRL) No. 10/2025 is pending and is listed next on 27.02.2025.

It is made clear that the extension of furlough hereby granted has no relation with the pendency of the said petition. 10.
