By the present petition the petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to file Special Leave Petition before the Supreme Court and maintain social ties.

Learned APP for the State points out that vide order dated 8th April, 2016 this Court disposed of the appeals, that is, one filed by the appellant and the other filed by the State being Crl. Appeal Nos. 56/2016 and 226/2016 respectively wherein though conviction of the appellant for offence punishable under Sections 376/366/363 IPC was upheld his sentence of rigorous imprisonment for three years was enhanced to seven years for offence punishable under Section 376 IPC.

The petitioner surrendered to custody on 15th May, 2016 pursuant to the disposal of the two appeals by this Court and thus he had sufficient time from 8th April, 2016 to prefer the special leave petition, if any. In any case, the petitioner would still have the right to file the special leave petition before the Supreme Court through the Legal Aid available at Tihar Jail. 4.

I find no merit in the present petition seeking parole on the ground to file Special Leave Petition.

Petition is dismissed.

Copy of the order be communicated to the petitioner through Superintendent, Tihar Jail.
