% 09.01.2017 The petitioner has filed this writ petition challenging the Show Cause Notice dated 30th September, 2016 issued by the respondents, whereby the petitioner has been directed to show cause why his seniority should not be reviewed by submitting his reply to the Show Cause Notice, failing which, an ex-parte decision would be taken and his seniority would be reviewed accordingly.

It appears that the petitioner has already submitted his reply to the Show Cause Notice. The respondent authorities shall take a reasoned decision having regard to the reply given by the petitioner, in accordance

with the law and in particular the judgment of this Court dated 22nd July, 2010 in WP (C) 3845/2010 (UOI & ANR v. Pankaj Agnihotri), heard along with other similar writ petitions. The decision shall be taken as expeditiously as possible, preferably within six weeks.
