Petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 144/2024 of Police Station Dwarka South for offence under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC on the ground that parties have compromised their disputes. Petitioner no. 3 has appeared through videoconferencing while the remaining petitioners and respondent no. 2 have personally appeared in Court, identified by their respective counsel and Investigating Officer/SI Suman.

being the immediate relatives of petitioner no. 1. No child was born from matrimony of petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2. 4.
I have spoken with the parties. Marriage between petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 stands dissolved by decree of divorce with mutual consent (Annexure-P3).

Respondent no. 2 affirms that all her claims towards stridhan and alimony stand settled and she has received full and final settlement amount, so she is not interested to proceed further with this prosecution. 6.
Having spoken with both sides, I am satisfied that it would be in the interest of justice not to push the parties through trial. Therefore, the petition is allowed and consequently, FIR No. 144/2024 of Police Station Dwarka South for offence under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and the consequent proceedings stand quashed.
