This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (in short, 'Cr.P.C') seeking issuance of a direction to the respondent nos.1 to to provide necessary police protection/security to the life and property of the petitioner. 2.

Allegations of threats being received from the respondent nos.4, who is daughter-in-law of the petitioner, have been made in the petition. It is stated that the son of the petitioner had died on 14.06.2023 and the respondent no.4 is now threatening the petitioner. 3.

Issue notice.

Notice is accepted by Ms.Nandita Rao, the learned ASC for the respondent nos.1 to 3.

Without entering into the veracity of the allegations made in the petition, it is directed that the petitioner shall approach the Station House Officer (SHO) of the Police Station: Prasad Nagar, New Delhi. The SHO shall share with the petitioner his telephone number as also that of the Beat Constable.

In case the petitioner perceives any threat, she may contact either of them for seeking protection. The concerned SHO shall immediately look into the grievance of the petitioner and take necessary action.
