The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail under Section 438 Cr.P.C. in case FIR No.403/2016 registered under Sections 376/376D/377/506/344/380 IPC at PS Rani Bagh. Status report is on record.

I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and have examined the file. The petitioner and the prosecutrix were married to each other on 22.08.2016.

They were acquainted with each other.

The complainant in her complaint informed that on 06.08.2016, the petitioner committed rape upon her against her wishes. Due to fear, she did not disclose the occurrence.

She further disclosed that subsequently she was forced to marry with the petitioner. BAIL APPLN. 44/2017

The petitioner has placed on record various photographs with the prosecutrix showing both of them in close relationship. Coaccused Karanveer has been granted bail by an order dated 13.02.2017 by this Court.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is granted anticipatory bail and in the event of arrest, he be released on furnishing personal bond in the sum of ` 50,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the SHO/Investigating officer. He shall, however, join the investigation as and when required.

The bail application stands disposed of.
