This petition has been filed seeking directions for expeditious disposal of the claim petition pending before the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal ('MACT'), Dwarka Courts, Delhi. Mr. Anshuman Bal, counsel for petitioners, states that claim petition was filed on behalf of the deceased, Mahesh Kumar, who met with an accident on 5th May 2016. 2.

Despite the petition being filed in 2016, the recording of evidence finally got completed in July 2024 when the matter was fixed for final arguments on 14th October 2024. Order sheets since 14th October 2024 have been placed on record, and a perusal thereof shows that the matter has been adjourned on several occasions by the MACT, mostly without recording reasons, and sometimes at the request of the parties. 3.

MACT has directed the parties to submit their written arguments of not more than 3-4 pages.

The contesting parties are claimants and Insurance Company, whereas the driver and the owner have been proceeded ex parte, as informed by Mr. Anshuman Bal, counsel for petitioners.

Mr. Anshuman Bal, informs that the matter is now listed on 6th April 2026 for arguments, therefore, we expect the MACT to conclude the matter at best by 15th April 2026.

It is expected that counsels for contesting parties shall fully cooperate in this endeavour, particularly considering that the matter pertains to an accident in the year 2016, adjudication of claim petition MACT no. 2209/16 should not brook any further delay.

Petition is disposed of with aforesaid observations and directions. 8.

Pending applications are rendered infructuous. 9.
