The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed on behalf of the Petitioner in the nature of Habeas Corpus for a direction to the Respondents to trace and produce the wife of the Petitioner, who is stated to be missing since 10.07.2021. 2.
In compliance of the last Order dated 29.04.2025, a detailed status report has been filed. A perusal of the status report reveals that despite best efforts, the Police has not been able to trace the wife of the Petitioner. Mr. Sanjay Lao, learned Standing Counsel for the Respondents, states that an FIR has been registered and a Polygraph Test of the father, mother and brother of the wife of the Petitioner will be conducted after taking steps in accordance with law by moving an appropriate application before the concerned Magistrate and further the Polygraph Test Reports will be produced before the concerned Magistrate for further action. The statement is taken on record. Let the same be done in accordance with law. 4.
The petition is disposed of, along with pending application(s), if any. 5.
