For the reasons and grounds stated in the present application, the same is allowed and the main writ petition is taken up on Board by today itself. 2.

Accordingly, the present application is allowed and disposed of. W.P.(CRL) 406/2025 3.

Through the instant petition, the Petitioner seeks appropriate orders and directions for the completion and conclusion of trial in SC No. 236/2018 titled State v. Preetam @ Sonu @ Bijli.

This Court on 6th February, 2025 directed the Trial Court to submit a report with respect to the progress of the trial. According to the report, the Court has been lying vacant since 25th October, 2024, and as a result, no specific time frame can be provided for the completion of the trial. It is noted that nearly five months have lapsed since the position is lying vacant. Thus, the concerned Principal District and Sessions Judge is directed to transfer SC No. 236/2018 pending before the Additional Sessions Judge-01, Fast Track Court, West, Tis Hazari Court, according to the subject matter, before another Court, so that the proceedings in the present case be taken up for hearing.
