By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeking issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent to release the petitioner on parole for a period of ninety days.

The petitioner is presently confined in Central Jail No. 5, Tihar, Delhi. He was convicted under Sections 363/364A/120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC') in case arising out of FIR No. 83/2005, registered at Police Station Sultan Puri, Delhi and was sentenced to undergo life imprisonment by the learned Trial Court. His appeal against conviction i.e., CRL.A. 1439/2011 was dismissed by this Court vide judgment dated 20.07.2012.
