The present contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful violation of the order passed by this Court on 21st January, 2026, in terms of which, the respondents no.1 (SHO) and 2 (MCD) were directed to ensure that no unauthorised construction was carried out on the subject property bearing No.530, 531 and 532, Gali No.10, Manglapuri, Phase-1, Palam Colony, New Delhi-110045.

It is the petitioner's grievance that despite the aforesaid order, the unauthorised construction has not been stopped by the respondents no.1 and

petitioner when he tried to object to the said unauthorised construction. 3.

Counsel appearing for the respondent no.1/SHO, P.S. Palam Village submits that the address of the subject property, as given in the writ petition is incorrect. Hence, the respondents could not take the necessary actions. 4.

Counsel appearing for the respondent no.2/MCD submits that after booking a property, a watch and ward letter has been issued to the concerned SHO.

In these circumstances, it is directed that officials of respondent no.2/MCD shall take the police officials to the property where the unauthorised construction is taking place and accordingly, the police officials will take appropriate action to ensure that no unauthorised construction is carried out in the said property. 6.

Counsel for the respondent no.1/SHO submits that they will ensure that no unauthorised consideration is taking place in the subject property. 6.1.

The statement is taken on record. The respondent shall be bound by the same.

The respondent no.1/SHO shall also ensure that adequate protection is provided to the petitioner.
