The present petition has been filed by the Petitioner under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, seeking directions to the Respondent No.1- Registrar Co-operative Societies (hereinafter, 'RCS') to expeditiously decide the appeal of the Petitioner under Section 139(2) of the Delhi Co-operative Societies Act, 2003 (hereinafter, 'DCS Act, 2003'). 3.

The Petitioner is a member of the Manzil Co-operative Group Housing Society Ltd., Plot No.7, Sector 9, Dwarka, New Delhi (hereinafter 'the Society').

An application dated 25th August, 2025 was filed by the Petitioner to the Society i.e., Manzil Co-operative Group Housing Society Ltd. (hereinafter 'the Society'), seeking information and various documents of the Society. 5.

Thereafter, a legal notice was issued by the Petitioner to the Society on 3rd September, 2025. by the Society.

Pursuant thereto, a reply dated 12th September, 2025 was received on behalf of the Society to the effect that certain documents would be offered for inspection and deposit of fees was sought.

Against this stand of the Society, the Petitioner filed an appeal under Section 139(2) of the DCS Act, 2003 on 28th October, 2025. 8.

However, since no action was taken by the RCS, the present writ petition is being filed by the Petitioner, seeking expeditious disposal of the appeal.

Ld. Counsel for the Respondent submits that the RCS office was earlier short staffed, therefore, the appeal could not be taken up. However, staff in the RCS office have been appointed now. It is submitted that RCS has no objection in deciding the appeal of the Petitioner expeditiously. 10.

Accordingly, it is directed that the appeal filed by the Petitioner shall be decided within a period of three months. Let the same be decided after issuing notice and providing a hearing to the Society. 11.

Petition is disposed of in these terms. All pending applications, if any, are also disposed of.
