Petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 ('Cr.P.C.') has been preferred on behalf of the petitioners for directing learned Trial Court for expediting hearing of Criminal Case No.1568/2019, titled as 'State vs. Ajab Singh'.

Issue notice. Learned counsel for the respondent appears on advance notice and accepts notice.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that FIR No.438/2008 under Sections 420/468/471/120B IPC was registered on 04.08.2008 and charge-sheet was filed only in 2018. addressed on several occasions but order on charge is yet to be passed. It is prayed that directions be issued to learned Trial Court to pass appropriate orders on charge and expeditiously conclude the proceedings since the petitioner, who was a young student, has lost 15 years having involved in litigation.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and since the proceedings relate back to year 2008, learned Trial Court is directed to conclude the arguments on charge on the next date of hearing fixed before it or a short date fixed thereafter and pass orders within a period of four weeks thereafter. An endevour shall also be made to expeditiously examine the witnesses and conclude the trial.
SI Anil Kumar / SHO, PS; Najafgarh shall remain present before the learned Trial Court on the next date of hearing to ensure that proceedings are not unnecessarily adjourned.
Petition is accordingly disposed of. Pending application, if any, also stands disposed of.
