By way of this petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of the mandate of an arbitral tribunal which is in seisen of disputes between the parties pursuant to the orders dated 01.12.2021 and 21.12.2021 passed by this Court in ARB.P. 1064/2021.

Ms. Sonali Jain, learned counsel for the respondent, enters appearance on advance notice and submits that respondent has no objection to the relief being granted. However, she points out that mandate of the learned arbitral tribunal expired on 12.10.2023, after taking into account the six months' extension by consent of the parties. It is undisputed that, in the meanwhile, the award has been reserved by the learned arbitral tribunal.

In these circumstances, and with the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the mandate of the learned arbitral tribunal is extended until expiry of a period of six months from today.

The petition stands disposed of in these terms.
