Through the present Petitions, the Petitioners assail the correctness of the common order dated 12.12.2025 [hereinafter referred to as 'Impugned Order'] passed by the Central Administrative The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
Tribunal [hereinafter referred to as 'CAT'], whereby the OAs filed by the Petitioners were dismissed.

With the consent of learned counsel representing the parties, the present Petitions shall stand disposed of by this common order. 3.
In order to comprehend the issues involved in the present case, the relevant facts in brief are required to be noticed. 4.
Pursuant to the Recruitment Notice dated 01.09.2023, the Petitioners had applied for the post of Constable (Executive) Male and Female in Delhi Police Examination - 2023. Apart from the Computer Based Examination ('CBT'), there was Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE & MT) as well, which comprised of a 1600 meter race. The Petitioners appeared in CBT, and upon declaration of the result, the Petitioners were qualified for PE & MT. During the PE & MT, a total of 53,629 candidates participated and around 10,963 candidates qualified the said test.

The Petitioners grievance is that the candidates were made to stand in one single horizontal line and run. It is submitted that there was a huge rush and some of the candidates could not gain a headstart or proper momentum for acceleration in the run. Thus, the physical arrangement of the candidates at the start withheld the Petitioner from optimizing his athletic capacity. These facts are disputed by the Respondents.

This Court has considered the submission.

Admittedly, the 1600 meter race was to be completed within the prescribed time to clear the PE & MT. Nearly 11,000 candidates qualified. All the candidates were divided into various batches for completing the race. The selected candidates have already been appointed.

While exercising the writ jurisdiction, the Court is not expected to interfere unless there is perversity. There might be some room for diligence and exactitude, but it cannot be made a basis to interfere in a writ petition, particularly when a plausible view has already been taken by the CAT.

Keeping in view the aforesaid position, this Court does not find any reason to interfere with the Impugned Order. 10.
The present Petitions are accordingly dismissed. The pending applications also stand closed.
